Als Gutterpunk operierst du außerhalb des Gesetzes am Rande gigantischer Metropolen und kämpfst gegen die Konzerne¸ die dich und deine Freunde unterdrücken. Als gerissener Agent hast du Zugang zu den Vorstandsetagen und Schwarzmarktgeschäften¸ die das Rückgrat und die Wirtschaft der Stadt bilden ... und die Geschäfte laufen gut. Als sparsamer und standhafter Scrapper überlebst du in den rauen Gebieten außerhalb der makellosen Städte¸ lebst von dem¸ was die Natur dir bietet¸ und entziehst dich dem Einfluss der Großkonzerne. Doch das Ödland birgt seine eigenen Gefahren¸ die du überwinden musst. Das System ist schnell und einfach zu erlernen. Neue Spieler können sofort loslegen und würfeln. Erfahrene Spieler finden vertraute und zugleich umfangreiche neue Wege¸ die Geschichte ihres Charakters zu erzählen. Neue Spieler sollten die Grundlagen in weniger als einer Stunde erlernen können. Soziale Interaktion und der Umgang mit anderen Spielern und Nicht-Spieler-Charakteren in der Welt sind zentral für den Erfolg - ??und das Überleben - eures Charakters. Wenn ihr euch nicht aus der Patsche reden könnt¸ ist der Kampf einfach: schnell und tödlich. Erfahrung und Reputation sind in einem System miteinander verknüpft¸ in dem ihr im Spielverlauf euren Bekanntheitsgrad buchstäblich zu Geld machen könnt¸ um euch einen Vorteil zu verschaffen. DIE WELT VON IDENTECO: Wir schreiben das Jahr 2099. Die Welt ist ein völlig anderer Ort. Nach einer Reihe verheerender Atomangriffe auf das Herz Amerikas durch einen unsichtbaren (und noch immer unbekannten) Feind war die Regierung in Auflösung begriffen. Die Konzerne waren die einzige Hoffnung¸ die Bevölkerung zu schützen und die Gesellschaft wiederaufzubauen. Und so taten sie es. Wie technokratische Götter bauten sie Amerika wieder auf. Sie schufen sich ein Bild von sich selbst und nutzten dann neue Skaleneffekte und politisch-finanzielle Systeme¸ um die Welt umzugestalten. Als Reaktion auf die Angriffe schuf die UNO das Centralized Human Identity Program (CHIP) als universelles Ausweisprogramm für die Welt. Das CHIP wird implantiert und speichert Ihre gesamte Identität - Ihre persönlichen Metadaten¸ Reisepässe¸ Krankenakten¸ berufliche Verläufe¸ Bildungsnachweise¸ Social-Media-Aktivitäten und vieles mehr. Die Konzerne haben Wege gefunden¸ Menschen mithilfe dieser Metadaten zu manipulieren. Durch ausgeklügeltes Marketing und raffiniertes Branding zwingen die Konzerne den Menschen ihren Willen nicht so sehr auf¸ sondern verankern ihren Wert in ihren Köpfen und bringen sie dazu¸ kleine Teile ihrer Persönlichkeit an die angesagtesten Marken und einflussreichsten Lifestyle-Unternehmen zu verkaufen. In IDENTECO tust du alles¸ um in diesem neuen "statischen Zeitalter" deine Menschlichkeit zu bewahren. Je mehr du spielst¸ desto mehr stärkst du die Identität deines Charakters - und desto wertvoller wird sie für jene¸ die sie dir rauben wollen. Im Spielverlauf hängt die Grenze zwischen berühmt und berüchtigt allein davon ab¸ wer zuschaut.
Big Brother is watching. Time to put on a show! IDENTECO is a new RPG system and world based around your character's social interaction as a means of survival. As a Gutterpunk ¸ you operate outside the law on the fringes of giant¸ sprawling metroplexes surviving any way you can while fighting back against the corporations that oppress you and your friends. As a conniving Operative ¸ you have access to the boardrooms and black-market deals that drive the backbone and business in the city...and business is good. As a thrifty and stalwart Scrapper ¸ you survive in the harsh lands outside the pristine cities¸ living off the land and away from big corporate influence. But the Wastes bring their own dangers you must overcome. The system is fast and easy to learn. New players should be able to jump in and roll dice in a short time¸ veteran players will find familiar and expansive new ways to tell their character's story. newer players should be able to learn the basics of in less than an hour. Social interaction and how you interact with other players and non-player characters in the world are central to your characters success...and survival. When you can't talk your way out of a jam¸ combat is simple¸ fast and deadly. Experience and reputation are tied together in a system where as you progress¸ you literally cash in on your in-game notoriety to gain an advantage. THE WORLD OF IDENTECO The year is 2099. The world is a much different place. After a series of devastating nuclear attacks on America's heartland by an unseen (and still unidentified) enemy the government was in disarray. The corporations were the only thing left to protect the populace and rebuild society. So¸ they did. Like technocratic gods they rebuilt America™ in their image¸ and then used new economies of scale and political financial systems to reshape the globe. As a reaction to the attacks¸ the U.N. created the Centralized Human Identity Program (C.H.I.P.)¸ as a universal I.D. program for the world. The C.H.I.P. is implanted in you and carries your entire identity-your personal metadata-passports¸ medical records¸ employment histories¸ education records¸ social media history¸ and much more. The Corps have figured out ways to manipulate people using this metadata. Through carefully crafted marketing and slick branding¸ the Corps don't force their will onto people as much as they enforce their worth in people's minds¸ and trick people into buying and selling little pieces of themselves to the slickest brands and the most influential lifestyle companies. In IDENTECO you do whatever is necessary to retain your humanity in this new "Static Age." The more you play the game¸ the more you build your character's identity¸ and the more valuable it becomes to those who would steal it from you. As the game progresses the thin line between famous and infamous depends solely on who's watching.
