The Slayer: D&DClass (5e)
The slayer is a brand new class for 5th edition that combines the martial prowess of a fighter with the brutal lethality of a barbarian to create something completely unique. Slayers are disciplined and vigilant combatants who've come from dark circumstances that involved some kind of personal tragedy¸ endured a horrific and traumatic bloodbath or massacre¸ and¸ ultimately¸ found a higher calling. This calling leads them to take up arms in the service of some belief¸ code¸ or ideal¸ marking the start of their adventuring career.
Slayers are lightly armored combatants who deal high damage and excel at navigating the battlefield due to their speed and ability to bypass adversaries more easily than most. Best of all¸ when slayers drops their foes¸ they unlock the ability to top their hit points up or make an additional attack to keep the killing going.
This iteration of the slayer¸ Version 2.0¸ provides 5 slayer specializations¸ known as Slayer Styles.
We've worked extremely hard on making the slayer the best that it can be. However¸ there's always room for improvement and this goes doubly for class and player options in general¸ where unexpected synergies and exploits are always possible. If you notice anything about the slayer that you feel was unintentional¸ has been overlooked¸ relates to balancing¸ or affects your enjoyment of the class - please don't hesitate to get in touch with us at feedback@deepdark-designs.co.uk¸ or else leave a comment here¸ and we'll get back to you ASAP.
Also¸ if you like the class and want to see more from us¸ please do let us know via the comments and post a review of it for others too.
