The Siege of Irondale - An Adventure in suitable for several level 1-3 players (5e)
Reports of this army have come from survivors of several large towns being utterly decimated by the hordes of Orcs¸ Goblins and various beasts and in some of the better defended towns¸ Hobgoblins. Accounts of a great Wyvern soaring above the army have also been heard. This army bears a crest on their banners ‐ the silhouette of a Wyvern¸ encircled by a crown with a tear drop of green within the crowns centre. Your quest is to find the Dwarven High Priest ‐ Fathnir Whitebeard. As he claims (through means of a message sent by raven) that the Goblin/Orcish army is led by a far more malevolent force than just primal instinct. Find the Priest¸ find his proof¸ if true¸ locate and if possible destroy this malevolent force. This adventure is a simple one¸ get into the besieged city¸ find the dwarven High priest¸ convince him or.. otherwise get him to leave the city with you. Tested with 2 groups - 1 with seven level 1-3 characters and with a group of 4 level 1 characters. Both faired relatively well with some quick thinking and smart use of their environment. Each took around 4-5 hours but probably could be finished in less. Anything within the pages can be expanded upon - the city has not been fleshed out purposely to allow some improv if the PC's choose to wander¸ but bear in mind the city IS under siege.
