Quest Tracker (5e)
The Quest Tracker This form fillable PDF was designed to help streamline DM and player interactions with DND 5E quests. I found this tool to be particularly useful when designing side quests and it helped me recall important information during the game¸ because of this¸ as well as a quest journal I found the quest tracker also acts as a useful way to organise prep for upcoming games. Design This tool has been designed from the 5E character sheet so it can be added seamlessly to a players folder. The sheet can be given to the player filled out or blank depending on how you wish to use the sheet. In the past I have kept a completed copy for myself while my players filled in their sheets as the quest progressed. Content There are a number of reasons why I believe this tool will be useful for you: NPC tracker With a section dedicated to NPC's its much easier to recall who said what and why. Objectives tracker Set out in a simple format¸ it is much easier to keep track of what the party is trying to achieve during this quest. It also allows players to easily visualise multiple options to completing a quest. Rewards Tracker While a large number of DM's prepare loot and rewards ahead of time¸ it's sometimes hard to keep all of it organised and in one place. With a quick reference rewards table¸ this aims to make things easier. Notes section An additional area to expand on issues that have arisen throughout the player journey¸ or an area for the DM to outline specific plot points they want to achieve. Recommended Level Box (optional) I like to run relatively open world campaigns and I sometimes present my players with several side quests that they can choose to explore. After writing and loosley designing the quests¸ I have a certain level of difficulty in mind. The recommended level box can help the players make an informed decision about whether of not to take on the quest at that time. The Quest Tracker can be the perfect DM or player tool to help them manage and organise notes and materials relating to quests.
