Nityas Notes (5e)
Nitya I found a satchel next to a skeleton. Inside were several notebooks. From their content¸ I guess they belonged to Nitya¸ a Monk from the Littlehollow Monsatery. Wherever that may be. According to her notes¸ she traveled a lot: scaling volcanoes and spelunking luminescent caves. But this is not the story of Nitya¸ this is a collection of her notes. It describes people she met and people she fought¸ creatures she observed and creatures that tried to eat her. A second book collects her even more numerous notes: recipes! Most of her recipes are for brewing different types of beers¸ but there are also a great many with more practical applications. I hope that you may find both of those books useful¸ that they may entertain you¸ that they may help you on your adventures. How to use this book This book contains optional additions for Dungeon & Dragon 5th edition. In order to help players and DMs use this book¸ the whole document¸ from the typesetting to the wording of rules to the organization into parts¸ chapters¸ sections¸ etc.¸ is made to mimic the style of the official source books published by Wizard of the Coast. The bulk of the rules presented below are character options: additional choices that players can make to create or level up their character. As with any non-official content¸ players should check with their DM first. Note that some of those options were originally developed for use by DMs to make unusual¸ less predictable NPCs: they might be less appealing to players¸ but may be good foundations for villains or sidekicks. Some other parts of the rules below are adventuring rules. These are mostly for the DM to consider whether they want to add to the table. And finally¸ the companion volume¸ Nitya's Recipes¸ gives additional rules for foraging¸ dissecting¸ and crafting¸ including many recipes.
