Firenewts are not regarded very well by anyone. Not their neighbors¸ not adventurers¸ not the targets of their firery pogroms¸ not even other firenewts. They are all but multi-universally despised as depraved¸ vile creatures interested only in perpetuating atrocities on other living things. It is a reputation that is not unearned by any means. Yet it is not the whole story. Isolated due to their home in a place other people would consider uninhabitable¸ firenewt history and society has remained largely theoretical. Are they born evil¸ or did something happen to them that sent them on this path? Is there the possibility of redemption? No one has bothered to find out. Until now.
