Druid Circle (Druid Subclasses) (5e)
This document offers two new Druid subclasses for 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons: the Circle of Bark and Leaves and the Circle of Holism. Druids strive to become one with Nature¸ to protect it¸ to nurture it. This effort covers multiple aspects of Nature: the elements that compose it¸ the spirits that give it life¸ the beasts that live within it or the plants that grow off it. However¸ not all aspects of Nature (elements¸ spirits¸ beasts and plants) are equally available to Druids: they cannot change into plants. The first subclass presented in this document fills this gap: the Druids of the Circle of Bark and Leaves can use their Wild Shape to transform into plants¸ and¸ as they progress further¸ they become somewhat tree-like. The second subclass¸ the Circle of Holism¸ is for Druids that see the whole of nature as interconnected. These Druids care for all things at once¸ for the ecosystems rather than each individual beast or plant that inhabit them. These Druids adopt many small beasts and plants¸ carry them around and form a symbiotic relationship with them. The appendices also include additional Awakened Tree statistics - for various types of tree from the simple sycamore to the wise oak. This expands the options for the vegetal Wild Shapes the Druids of Bark and Leaves can take. Grow old as a red tingle and wise as an owl. - Raphaël
