DM Screen (5e)
This is my D&D 5e DM screen. I made a DM screen from some plywood¸ painted it black and glued on a printout of this document. Pages 2-7 were glued on the back and side panels. Pages 6-9 were glued on the front side for my players to see. To me a DM screen is a practical tool rather than a piece of art. Most DM Screens has no tables for the players to see. I found that having weapons and equipment for the players to see is very useful¸ conditions¸ exhaustion¸ concentration¸ sneak attack¸ advantage/disadvantage and armor also comes in handy from time to time. Making your own DM screen and deciding what goes on it is an important step on journey of becoming a good DM. The DM screen says a lot about what you emphasize in your game. My home brew tables are pretty self-explanatory. Please note that I have included unarmed strike in the weapons table with my own house rule settings.
