D&D Stress Conditions (5e)
Whether you are a soldier trained to suppress fear in battle or a noble who feels inadequate amongst his peers¸ stress affects everyone. Stress is most associated with negative outcomes¸ however¸ stress can elevate the mind and body¸ eliciting positive results. Elevate the roleplaying in your D&D 5e game by allowing the DM to add a stress condition based on the player's background. With the roll of a d6¸ the player has a 50/50 shot at either advantage or disadvantage until a long rest on the skills they are proficient in due to their background.
