D&D Solo Adventure: Rage of the Rakasta Solo Conversion Notes (5e)
5e Solo Gamebooks presents Rage of the Rakasta 5e Solo Conversion Notes. This supplement allows the player to experience a classic AD&D solo adventure¸ the 1993 TSR module Rage of the Rakasta¸ using 5e rules. You will need a copy of the original adventure module¸ which is available on Dungeon Master's Guild here. A virtual tabletop (VTT) account (Fantasy Grounds or Roll20) is also desirable to get the most out of gameplay¸ although this is not essential. All effort has been made to ensure gameplay is as smooth as possible. Converted 5e stat blocks are provided for all monsters and NPCs in the quest¸ as well as detailed directions on how to get the most out of this solo roleplaying experience. This module was originally set in the Thunder Rift setting¸ but is easily transferred to the Forgotten Realms. An ideal place for this adventure would be within Kara-Tur¸ the continent that lies east of Faerun¸ within the nation of Wa¸ which has a strong Japanese flavour¸ complete with ronin and bushido warriors. This fits perfectly with the flavour of the Rage of the Rakasta module. Simply follow the directions given in this supplement to experience a full 5e version of this classic solo adventure! With the original module and this supplement¸ you essentially have an instantly playable 5e solo adventure. Directions for each location are given¸ which send you to parts of the module to read certain text. The supplement then provides gamebook-style entries to guide you through each location¸ corresponding to the essence of the DM notes given in the module. (NOTE: This conversion deals only with the solo adventure portion of the module. There are additional adventure hooks and ideas later in the module that are not covered in this conversion). This adventure is a real challenge for a level 3 PC of any race or class. And just like our other products¸ the pdf contains active links to navigate you between entries¸ removing the need to scroll through. Keep an eye on 5e Solo Gamebooks for more solo adventures.
