Compass Point 5: The Tower of Lord Munch Generic Virtual Tabletop Edition (5e)
A Dungeons & Dragons 3.5e mini-adventure site for 4-6 Characters Levels 4-5
On the edge of the King's personal estate sits the tower of Lord Munch¸ a dreadful place that peasant folk avoid at all costs. From the tower the agents and informants of Lord Munch traverse the Kingdom¸ keeping an eye on dissenters and rabble rouser's who might rally the masses against the rule of the King.
The tower of Lord Munch is quite an unpleasant place to find yourself if you have spoken out against the harsh taxation enforced by the King. While for those who have whispered the words of revolution¸ the Tower could be the place of your doom.
The tower is the personal home of Lord Alfred Munch¸ the fellow who acts as the King's problem solver.
Lord Munch and his retainers are employed as a kind of intelligence service¸ a group of thugs who arrest and then question "people of interest" to the Crown. Interrogations usually involve a scatter of questions liberally mixed with a harsh beating.
Many peasants and a few Nobles have ended up sitting on a stool in one of the interrogation rooms¸ answering questions between beatings from their Jailers. Those who have been set free often return home cripples¸ if they are set free at all.
The tower is a place of dread that is best avoided.
What is a Compass Point? Our Compass Points are not self contained adventure modules¸ although they could easily be turned into a mini-adventure. Instead the objective of a Compass Point is to act as "filler" material that a Game Master can add into their campaign.
We provide all of the maps and NPC Data information¸ plus plot hooks and NPC motivation¸ but how the Compass Point is inserted into the GM's running narrative is completely up to the GM.
The entire principal behind our Compass Points is...
"A Game Master can simply employ the Compass Point module to add a side-adventure to their campaign¸ while the Story Content provides context¸ hints¸ and tips."
GuidelinesThis document is a basic set of guidelines¸ it is not a set of rules carved in stone that must be followed to the letter. In fact we recommend that you modify any part of the module to fit your campaign - adding or removing any components¸ as you feel necessary.
What is inside?Inside the product zip file you will find a PDF guide to the Tower of Lord Munch. The guide details the inhabitants of the tower¸ their motivations and stats¸ plus a number of plot hooks to help introduce the location into your campaign.
Next up are the maps for the tower itself¸ each map is cross-referenced in the guide with a detailed description.
Lastly you will find a folder of Character Tokens that you can use to display each of the NPC's found inside the tower on the virtual tabletop.
