In a world where the gods are real¸ the people of your world will now be encouraged to behave morally. Your heroes will be punished for their sins against the gods. <<<
This guide really changes how your world will work. It's a karma system of minor punishments - Sin Curses - given out for evil deeds. It's just enough to make your heroes think twice.- The heroes want to force a villain out of his house¸ so they burn down the building and several of the other nearby barns to do it. That is the sin of Gluttony.
- They discover a small church unguarded¸ they decide to loot it. Blasphemy!
- The king enters the palace and all kneel except for the heroes. That is the sin of pride.
Realize these sins become badges of honor and the punishments become roleplaying elements. Your heroes can go to church to have them removed only to soon have the punishments haunt them again.
